Ricky Lamb has announced that Summer Solstice has been canceled. Below is the post that was made by Ricky on Facebook. We can’t begin to express how sad we are about this turn of events. We are also extremely sad for Ricky who has put his heart and soul into this event last last several years.

 

I am very sorry to bring this sad news! Summer Solstice event has been canceled. The resort was sold Jan 1. I am attaching the official statement from the new owner’s management. I apologize for any inconvenience this will cause. I had worked with the prior ownership for the past 18 years, 7 years as Summer Solstice and we had a great relationship. There never was a contract, just a gentleman’s agreement. The event was not included in part of the sale. Please know this breaks my heart and I was looking forward to another great music festival. Hopefully you can all receive refunds on your travel plans. The new owners per their official statement will work with your hotel reservations at Rock Lane. I’m hopeful the other resorts and VRBO will do the same. I will be working with My Event to get refunds back to you in the next few weeks. I am hoping to get back the event fee of $8.12 per ticket. I have already reached out to all the artists.

Official statement from Rock Lane Resort We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused ticket-holders and event producers for this event. For those of you who had hotel reservations at Rock Lane, please contact the Resort Guest Services Department at (417) 338-2211 to modify or cancel your reservation.

As the new owners of Rock Lane Resort and Marina, we made significant changes and improvements to the property along with creating the ultimate live music experience on Table Rock Lake that includes over 60 days and nights of live music scheduled all summer long from Memorial weekend through Labor Day. Rock Lane LIVE Summer Concert Series is free and open to the public all summer long as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of Rock Lane Resort.
If any ticket-holder would like to keep their hotel reservation or consider moving it to another weekend throughout the summer, resort management will be happy to assist in accommodating and honoring the rates and accommodations originally booked.
If any displaced bands / artists are still interested in performing at Rock Lane this summer, we are happy to work with you on securing a date.
We appreciate Mr. Lamb and his commitment to bringing live entertainment to the Table Rock Lake area and we hope to work with him in the future.
